Large Contentful Paint: Wix is Slower than WordPress – According to a report by Sistrix.com, Wix is slower than WordPress and many other Content Management Systems (CMS) at delivering the Large Contentful Paint (LCP), which is one of the three main metrics of Google’s Core Web Vitals.
In this article I explain what Google’s Core Web Vitals are, why they are important for SEO and how Wix scored on LCP delivery in comparison to other CMSs.

The main Core Web Vitals are Large Contentful Paint (LCP), First Input Delay (FID), and Cumulative Layout Shift (CLS).
Why Are Core Web Vitals Important for SEO?
Google announced that Core Web Vitals will become a ranking factor by May 2021.
More recently Google has announced that in order to benefit in terms of rankings, a web page needs to do well on all three main metrics.
How Wix Scored on LCP
In a report by Sistrix.com, Wix scored the lowest among CMSs in delivering the LCP.
This means that Wix was the slowest in delivering and making visible the largest element on the page.
